Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Create a Feature Store and other forthcoming data services.

• Build EL / ELT / ETL pipelines.

• Incorporate new tools for data processing and storage solutions.

• Execute operational tasks for internal data applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in roles such as Data Engineer, ML Engineer, or Backend Engineer.

• Proficient in developing high-load and scalable systems for data processing and storage.

• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and streaming data pipelines.

• Expertise in Python and adherence to Python best practices.

• Proficient in SQL along with best practices for SQL usage.

• Knowledge of system design best practices.

• Familiarity with tools such as Airflow, Debezium, BigQuery / ClickHouse, PostgreSQL / CockroachDB, Docker, GitLab (CI/CD), and GCP.

• Experience with REST API / gRPC API / message brokers and queues.

• Bonus: Experience in Go development.

• Bonus: Familiarity with modern data storage systems including relational, MPP, and NoSQL.

• Bonus: Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
