Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and improve a scalable, cloud-native, multi-tenant data platform.

• Construct and refine batch and streaming data pipelines, transformation models, and reusable data services.

• Develop scalable data models utilizing BigQuery and dbt.

• Implement practices for data quality, governance, lineage, and monitoring.

• Create Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Establish automated testing, deployment, release, observability, logging, and alerting capabilities.

• Monitor the health of the platform and resolve production issues.

• Propel enhancements in scalability, reliability, and operational performance.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, AI, and Analytics teams.

• Contribute to architecture reviews, technical documentation, engineering standards, and mentorship within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent professional background.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in designing and developing cloud-native data solutions using Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and dbt.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Familiarity with developing scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.

• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and constructing CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of technologies such as Pub/Sub, Datastream, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Kubernetes, or Docker.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and the capability to drive and/or fly to client sites and company headquarters.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
