Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Collect data from various sources, including databases, APIs, event tracking tools such as PostHog, and spreadsheets.

• Verify that the gathered data is accurate, comprehensive, and pertinent to business inquiries.

• Design, maintain, and enhance scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.

• Aggregate, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.

• Oversee and optimize data infrastructure utilizing GCP and contemporary cloud services.

• Automate data workflows, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.

• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data across various systems.

• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams throughout the data ingestion and analysis phases.

• Guarantee that data is secure, well-documented, and easily accessible.

• Contribute to shaping the technical strategy of the expanding Data team.

• Integrate on-chain and off-chain data into a unified user model.

• Enhance pipeline performance and manage query costs as the volume of on-chain data increases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in the role of Data Engineer or a comparable position, working with large-scale data systems.

• Expertise in Python, particularly for creating data processing pipelines.

• Practical experience with ETL/ELT tools, ideally dbt, and data orchestration methods.

• Familiarity with modern data warehouse technologies, such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably GCP, for data storage, computation, and orchestration.

• Understanding of Git and data CI/CD workflows for version-controlled, testable data deployments.

• Experience in integrating AI tools like Claude Code into engineering workflows.

• Solid experience utilizing Excel or Google Sheets for quick analyses and pivot table creation.
