This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.
• Design and construct data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and curation of data across enterprise systems.
• Implement data models and data layer structures in accordance with enterprise architecture standards, including bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Create and uphold data assets that support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of data across pipelines and products.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and product owners to deliver effective data solutions.
• Convert architectural patterns and requirements into production-ready pipelines and data products.
• Optimize data processing and storage for enhanced scalability and efficiency.
• Assist in the movement and integration of data across various systems and platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, failures, and performance bottlenecks in pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of reusable components, implementation standards, and engineering best practices.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to design, develop, and troubleshoot data engineering solutions.
• Create and build AI-ready data solutions that support Power BI, AI agents, AI models, and machine learning models.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines within enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in various data engineering tools, programming languages, and frameworks.
• Experience in implementing data models and transformation logic based on architectural designs.
• Knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and orchestration principles.
• Experience within modern data ecosystems and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience in implementing medallion or layered data architectures in partnership with data architects.
• Background in supporting analytics, reporting, or AI/ML-enabled data use cases.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.
• Experience or working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
• Proven ability to build AI-ready data solutions that support Power BI, AI agents, AI models, and machine learning models.
• Understanding of data quality, observability, and performance optimization practices.
