Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Acquire a thorough understanding of key products, including legacy systems and various services.

• Actively detect issues, inefficiencies, risks, technical deficiencies, and areas for improvement.

• Execute enhancements and engage with product engineering teams to gain their support.

• Strategize for immediate victories and long-term enhancement plans.

• Sustain and improve current data processes for dependability, performance, and scalability.

• Develop a holistic understanding of existing tables, data flows, and jobs.

• Propel reliability and performance enhancements throughout data workflows.

• Take ownership of and implement data process modernization projects.

• Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with architectural standards and the adoption of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Advanced SQL expertise, including the optimization of complex queries for latency and performance.

• Proficiency in DBT for data transformation and modeling.

• Strong foundational knowledge in data engineering and databases (DDL/DML/SQL).

• Practical experience with Snowflake and Elastic tools.

• Extensive experience in building, scaling, and managing large-scale data pipelines.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.

• Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration is a plus.
