This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable systems for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, with a focus on testing and observability.
• Develop frameworks, tools, and automation that safely enhance development velocity.
• Create foundational end-to-end AI/ML workflows that encompass source ingestion and preparation, training and tuning, experimentation and productionization, as well as integration with downstream systems.
• Facilitate iterative model development and production operations, ensuring observability in aspects such as accuracy, drift, bias, fairness, and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to ensure dependable data pipelines and scalable analytics.
• Establish new architectures, best practices, and patterns for other engineers to follow.
• Engage in continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of peer engineers.
• Utilize AI tools in daily operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and decision-making.
• Expertise in SQL and Python, along with a strong understanding of modern data engineering frameworks, infrastructure, and tools.
• Proficiency in data ops best practices, monitoring, pipeline automation, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with GCP or AWS data engineering tools and big data frameworks.
• Experience in data modeling and medallion architecture.
• Comfort with using AI tools in everyday workflows.
• A curious mindset and willingness to experiment with new tools and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or ML engineering.
• Background in working with major cloud data platforms and tools.
• Must have eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, behavioral health, EHR systems, and/or regulated industries.
• Preferred: specific expertise with AWS/GCP, dbt, Airflow/Airbyte, and Redshift/BigQuery.
• Nice to have: foundational end-to-end AI/ML workflows experience.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Nice to have: experience in building production APIs and services, including MCP servers.
