Assistant Vice President – Technology, Information Management, Data Warehouse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Information Management - Data Warehouse division, offering strategic guidance and vision.

• Design and architect scalable data warehouse solutions utilizing Databricks Lakehouse and various cloud technologies.

• Create and sustain enterprise-wide data models and data lakes, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

• Implement real-time streaming and graph analytics solutions to improve data processing and analysis capabilities.

• Safeguard data security and governance by setting up strong data protection measures and compliance frameworks.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp their data requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

• Mentor and lead a team of data engineers and architects, promoting a culture of continual learning and improvement.

• Keep updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, spotting opportunities for innovation and efficiency enhancements.

• Establish strong partnerships with internal and external collaborators, nurturing a cooperative environment for data-related initiatives.

• Ensure the department aligns with Mashreq Global Services' broader business objectives and strategic aims.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in data architecture, with a demonstrated history of leading large-scale data warehouse projects.

• Proficiency in Databricks Lakehouse, Cloud Data Engineering, and Enterprise Data Architecture is essential.

• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data lake architecture, and real-time streaming technologies.

• Experience with Informatica and various data integration tools, along with BI tools for data visualization.

• Strong grasp of data security and governance principles, with the capability to implement effective data protection measures.

• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding a team of data professionals.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach, adept at identifying and tackling complex data-related issues.

• Knowledgeable about the latest industry trends and technologies, showing a commitment to ongoing learning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
