This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.
• Design and develop high-performance systems that process millions of ad transactions in real-time.
• Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle from architecture to deployment.
• Collaborate with a dynamic and high-achieving international engineering team.
• Create and implement scalable pipelines for bid stream, impression, and revenue data.
• Ingest and standardize data from SSPs, DSPs, ad servers, and third-party reporting APIs.
• Develop both real-time and batch processing systems for auction analytics, win-rate assessment, and bid landscape modeling.
• Construct ETL/ELT workflows that transform raw programmatic data into datasets ready for analytics.
• Design data models aimed at yield optimization, floor-price examination, and performance evaluation of demand partners.
• Build and uphold data warehouses and data lakes that are optimized for ad-tech query requirements.
• Implement monitoring, validation, and anomaly detection for the quality of programmatic data streams.
• Provide support to BI and analytics teams with a clean, well-documented, and efficient data infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and CCPA regulations in data collection, storage, and processing.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• More than 2 years of experience working with programmatic advertising or ad-tech data.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with streaming data platforms like Kafka, Kinesis, and Pub/Sub.
• Practical experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, and ClickHouse.
• Familiarity with batch processing frameworks including Spark, dbt, and Airflow.
• Understanding of ad-tech data structures, including bid requests, impressions, OpenRTB schemas, and log-level data.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Familiarity with SSP reporting APIs and log-level data, including Magnite, PubMatic, Index Exchange, and Xandr.
• Understanding of Google Ad Manager reporting, Data Transfer files, and BigQuery exports.
• Familiarity with Prebid Analytics adapters and bid stream data.
• Experience with mobile measurement platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, and Kochava.
• Familiarity with RTB log files and auction data.
• Knowledge of revenue metrics including CPM, eCPM, RPM, fill rate, win rate, and bid density.
• Understanding of auction analytics such as bid landscape, floor optimization, and timeout analysis.
• Familiarity with demand partner performance metrics, SSP/bidder scoring, and latency analysis.
• Understanding of supply chain data, ads.txt validation, sellers.json mapping, and SPO analysis.
• Nice to have: experience with ML feature engineering for bid optimization or yield prediction.
• Nice to have: background in creating data products for publisher-side monetization.
• Nice to have: familiarity with privacy-preserving data techniques, including differential privacy and clean rooms.
• Nice to have: experience with CTV/OTT advertising data and video ad metrics.
• Nice to have: knowledge of identity resolution and cross-device data challenges.
