Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric, Data Pipelines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from operational systems, REST APIs, databases, and flat files into cloud environments.

• Establish and maintain the Bronze, Silver, and Gold storage layers of Data Lake/Lakehouse.

• Develop and execute automated scripts in Python, PySpark, and SQL for schema validation, ensuring data quality, and resolving inconsistencies.

• Organize and structure target data repositories to enhance query performance, facilitate data modeling, and integrate with Microsoft Power BI.

• Utilize Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage to orchestrate workflows and oversee data pipelines.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and BI Analysts to ensure alignment of deliverables with client reporting and business logic needs.

• Assist in client proposals and the execution of enterprise projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Practical experience in constructing, scheduling, and monitoring automated ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Experience in implementing Data Lake and Medallion Architecture patterns, including the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.

• Strong skills in Python or PySpark and advanced SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and script execution.

• Solid background within the Microsoft Cloud and Azure data ecosystem.

• Experience in data quality validation, error handling, and loading data into target locations for downstream use.

• Familiarity with data modeling requirements for Microsoft Power BI reporting.

• Availability for part-time, hourly engagement.

• Nice to have: hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Synapse Data Engineering.

• Nice to have: Microsoft certifications such as DP-700, DP-203, or AZ-104.

• Nice to have: experience in Agile environments with client-facing deliverables and Statement of Work milestones.
