This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the warehouse, including the transforms, orchestration, and serving layer, which encompasses dashboards, reverse ETL, and agents.
• Develop dependable pipelines that integrate product events, CRM, marketing, finance, support, and additional data sources.
• Execute contracts, manage retries, enhance visibility, utilize tested models, implement metrics, conduct quality tests, perform anomaly detection, ensure lineage, establish SLAs, and manage incident processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering on events, tracking plans, data contracts, access governance, PII, and comprehensive documentation.
• Build and maintain the quality and adoption of the agent layer, which includes health monitoring, summaries of failed jobs, cost and performance indicators, draft models/tests/docs, schema-change alerts, health reports, and proposed solutions.
• Conduct platform reviews, retrospectives, SLA reporting, and prioritization sessions with Product, Analytics, and go-to-market teams.
• Ensure that there is clear ownership, thorough testing, detailed documentation, and rollback capabilities for major data products.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions as an individual contributor without direct reports.
• Over 5 years of experience with hands-on production pipelines and warehouse models.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud warehouses and dbt-style transformations.
• Experience using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for automation purposes.
• Ability to design for observability, testing, incident management, and cost considerations.
• A systems-thinking perspective.
• Capability to collaborate across various functions.
