This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain paginated reports (RDL) and reporting solutions utilizing Power BI Report Server, Power BI Service, and legacy Crystal Reports.

• Act as the primary technical authority for the deployment and troubleshooting of reports.

• Comprehend how reports and embedded analytics integrate with the application, encompassing authentication processes and parameter transmission.

• Diagnose issues across the full spectrum from application to report.

• Craft, optimize, and resolve complex SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting, data extraction, and application workloads.

• Provide support for Python-based tools used in data pipelines and analytics workflows.

• Operationalize outputs from forecasting or classification models into reporting and decision-making workflows.

• Automate the generation, scheduling, and distribution of reports.

• Establish monitoring for reporting data and queries, incorporating quality assessments, anomaly detection, and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Enhance report and query performance through effective instrumentation and benchmarking.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL and relational databases — capable of independently writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.

• Experience in creating Power BI Paginated Reports (RDL) and working with PBIRS, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embed.

• Practical experience embedding reports into client-facing applications, including managing authentication, REST API-driven token handling, and overall application integration.

• Background in supporting enterprise reporting solutions in live production settings.

• Actively monitors developments in the Fabric/Power BI ecosystem, including enhancements to Microsoft's paginated report rendering APIs.

• Proficient in Python for data pipelines and analytics tooling, particularly in operationalizing outputs from forecasting or classification models into reporting or decision workflows.

• Interest or experience in applied data science.

• Familiarity with healthcare or other high-volume, high-sensitivity, regulated data (e.g., HL7).

• Experience with Azure services that support reporting and analytics workloads.

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD practices related to report deployment.

• Experience in adapting reporting or data products across various platforms during modernization initiatives.

• History of involvement in reporting platform modernization or migration projects.
