Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, and create innovative software solutions for Provider Data Management.

• Build new data services and tools that enhance core product functionalities.

• Design and test cloud-native, large-scale, scalable, distributed, and highly available data pipelines for multi-tenant environments.

• Collaborate with colleagues to make informed design and engineering choices.

• Leverage AI tools to expedite the engineering process.

• Manage the complete software development lifecycle for database components, which includes planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Assess new technological solutions, innovations, advancements, and trade-offs.

• Engage in R&D, proof of concepts, prototyping, and conducting code reviews.

• Ensure that software products comply with operational, security, and other non-functional specifications.

• Manage and maintain multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Collaborate across various time zones with a global, cross-functional engineering team.

• Travel may be necessary based on company requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of substantial experience in data modeling and data management principles.

• In-depth knowledge of database platforms such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar technologies.

• Proficient in creating advanced SQL scripts, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and constraints.

• Strong experience in procedural programming with Python.

• Experience with Linux shell scripting.

• Preferred: Experience working with Airflow, including the construction and debugging of DAGs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS or another leading cloud service provider.

• Experience in database performance tuning.

• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Nice to have: Experience in the healthcare domain, particularly with provider data expertise and knowledge of HL7 or FHIR data models.

• Nice to have: Backend experience in Java.
