Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Provide high-quality contemporary data solutions

• Work collaboratively with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams within an agile framework

• Design, integrate, and implement on-premises data solutions

• Assist in migrating existing workloads to cloud environments

• Create and develop data solutions utilizing modern programming languages

• Process payer files into the data warehouse

• Support and implement both cloud-based and on-premises data warehousing services

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience with SQL and relational database management systems

• More than 3 years of experience in cloud data engineering platforms, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake

• Over 3 years of experience in on-premises data engineering platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata

• Proficient in programming and modifying code in SQL, Python, and PySpark

• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing

• Proven experience in troubleshooting data issues

• Practical experience with performance enhancement techniques

• A willingness to identify and implement process improvements and best practices

• Capability to take ownership and function effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented support environment

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Familiarity with healthcare data and healthcare insurance feeds is advantageous
