This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania, +3 more countries.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance systems for data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing within a Data Mesh platform across both cloud and legacy DWH environments.
• Construct and optimize data architectures on AWS cloud and on-premises Oracle DB for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and sustain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing modern tools and frameworks to meet regulatory, operational, and analytical banking requirements.
• Provide support and modernize legacy data systems while migrating towards cloud platform architecture.
• Ensure data quality, security, availability, and performance standards are upheld.
• Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to comprehend data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot software issues, and resolve defects.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for data workflows.
• Engage in the End of Day (EOD) process, which includes a one-week ROTA rotation with availability until 23:00–24:00 for incident troubleshooting and resolution.
• Participate as a member of a cross-functional Agile team in an international Pan-Baltic setting.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL and Python.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of data pipeline tools like Airflow or dbt.
• Familiarity with Oracle DB, SAP IQ, SAP Data Services, and SAP Business Objects.
• Knowledge of integrations involving real-time, message-based, and event-driven solutions.
• Experience in bridging legacy systems with contemporary data platforms.
• Exposure to test automation and DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, security best practices, CI/CD, and SDLC.
• Experience with Data Products deliveries, Medallion architecture, and Data Mesh architecture.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of taking full responsibility for solution delivery.
• Ability to excel in a rapidly changing environment with shifting technologies and priorities.
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
• Nice to have: experience in the banking/customer business domain.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Nice to have: experience with Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Power BI.
• Nice to have: experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Nice to have: Java development experience.
