This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a reliable data and AI consultant for clients, converting business inquiries into AI-ready data infrastructures.
• Operate autonomously within a small team to tackle intricate data engineering challenges across various sectors.
• Design and implement data platforms optimized for AI, including cloud data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration jobs, and analytical layers.
• Create and enhance semantic and analytical layers that support Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie, BI platforms, and AI copilots.
• Provide scalable solutions utilizing Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, and cloud-native orchestration frameworks.
• Develop ELT/ETL pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Design contemporary data models that focus on metrics layers, knowledge graphs, and semantic consistency.
• Write production-ready SQL, Python, and Spark code while adhering to Git and CI/CD best practices.
• Implement AI-assisted methodologies for data exploration, quality assurance, schema generation, documentation, lineage, and transformation acceleration.
• Contribute to internal accelerators, engineering patterns, and client-ready architectures.
• Collaborate with analytics, data science, and ML teams to operationalize AI-enabled analytics, features, and inference pipelines.
• Engage independently in client projects, contribute to practice and business development, and propose innovative initiatives.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in collaborating with business stakeholders and articulating technical concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with contemporary data engineering and AI trends, including LLM-powered analytics, semantic layers, vectorized data access, and metadata-driven architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Over 3 years of experience working with relational databases and query languages.
• More than 3 years of experience in building production data pipelines across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• At least 3 years of experience in data modeling, including star schema and entity-relationship modeling.
• A minimum of 3 years writing clean, maintainable, and robust code in Python, Scala, Java, or similar languages.
• Preferred experience of 2+ years with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Codex, Claude, Copilot, Snowflake Cortex Code, and/or Databricks Genie Code is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end delivery from design to production.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Preferred experience in DevOps.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Microsoft Synapse is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, Informatica, or Talend is preferred.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Preferred experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience in preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow is preferred.
• Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
