Senior Data Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Collect, evaluate, and document business and data requirements for new and improved data feeds.

• Assist in defining data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation requirements.

• Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Information Security teams to ensure that solutions adhere to established standards and governance protocols.

• Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

• Aid in the investigation and resolution of issues, defects, and inquiries identified during testing phases.

• Partner with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure that the delivered data satisfies reporting, analytics, and operational requirements.

• Support comparison testing and dual-running activities between existing and new data solutions.

• Maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and related documentation to ensure precision and consistency.

• Contribute to data quality assurance and reconciliation tasks.

• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment across all project stages.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within data-centric projects.

• Extensive experience in gathering and documenting business, functional, and data requirements.

• Strong understanding of data extraction, reconciliation, and validation processes.

• Experience with data integration, data warehousing, data platforms, or reporting projects.

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

• Experience supporting testing activities, defect management, and issue resolution.

• Strong documentation skills, including data dictionaries, process documentation, and requirements specifications.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and information security principles.

• Experience in supporting reporting and analytics environments.

• Familiarity with complex, large-scale data transformation initiatives.
