Senior Data Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold analytical pipelines and reporting solutions utilizing BigQuery and MariaDB.

• Craft advanced, efficient SQL queries to derive insights from extensive datasets.

• Utilize AI and machine learning functionalities to enhance analytics workflows and provide more intelligent outputs.

• Employ AI-driven development tools such as Windsurf, Gemini, Claude, and Cursor.

• Create internal tools and automation leveraging Python, FastAPI, and contemporary frameworks.

• Convey findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Convert data into actionable business strategies.

• Comprehend and document data architecture, lineage, and information flows across various systems.

• Collaborate on business process analysis and improvement in process design driven by data insights.

• Discover opportunities for in-depth analysis, enhanced tooling, and operational efficiencies.

• Partner with stakeholders across the organization and colleagues globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in data analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in SQL at an expert level, including joins, window functions, and CTEs.

• Strong preference for experience with BigQuery and MariaDB.

• Solid skills in Python and/or JavaScript for developing pipelines, internal tools, APIs, and automation processes.

• JavaScript expertise for creating data-driven web applications and internal dashboards.

• Profound understanding of data architecture, database structures, data flows, and schema evolution.

• Practical experience with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, generative AI, and embeddings.

• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools like Windsurf, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capable of self-management and autonomous work.
