Mid-Level Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality of data within the team to support the expansion of the active customer base.

• Make certain that business decisions and internal models are based on reliable data.

• Develop an understanding of Brazilian Open Finance data through organization, testing, and advanced data processing techniques.

• Improve Open Finance data pipelines by converting raw data into features for LINA’s products.

• Engage in credit risk modeling, transaction categorization, and language model projects.

• Persistently enhance data quality and internal procedures.

• Create and sustain financial transaction categorization pipelines.

• Generate features from Open Finance data for both products and internal models.

• Prepare features and pipelines for modeling projects.

• Collaborate with the data squad to prioritize and address requests.

• Document transformations of pipelines, business rules, and technical decisions.

• Oversee the health and performance of production pipelines, suggesting continuous improvements.

• Produce insights, models, and metrics for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in maintaining and enhancing data quality processes.

• Familiarity with building and sustaining data transformation pipelines in production settings.

• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary data team, directly interacting with business and/or modeling teams.

• Proficient in Advanced SQL.

• Competent in Python.

• Knowledge of dbt or a similar data transformation tool.

• Experience with Git/version control.

• High attention to detail and rigor in validating data.

• Proactive in identifying and suggesting improvements before they escalate into issues.

• Ability to work collaboratively on a daily basis with diverse teams and on various topics while remaining focused on delivery.

• Demonstrated curiosity and a genuine interest in exploring new domains, with the capability to function effectively at the intersection of data engineering and data science.

• Strong organizational skills and the autonomy to manage multiple workstreams.

• Preferred: experience in enhancing data quality within production environments.

• Preferred: experience with statistical modeling and machine learning applied to various domains, including credit, categorization, and NLP.

• Preferred: experience with data testing tools such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or a similar tool.

• Preferred: familiarity with MLflow or an equivalent experiment tracking tool.

• Preferred: experience handling Open Finance data, including statements, bills, cards, and consent data.

• Preferred: experience with a modern analytics stack, including pipeline orchestration and columnar data warehouses.
