Senior Data Analyst – Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation and implementation of data analytics initiatives at Intermountain Health.

• Provide support for the Primary and Preventive Care Clinical Program.

• Contribute insights to strategic initiatives, clinical standards, and operational objectives through data analysis.

• Offer advanced support to management-level leaders in either a business or clinical setting.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of customer data and the associated business/clinical operations.

• Address complex customer inquiries via data exploration, report generation, and visual storytelling.

• Deliver project updates and articulate analytic findings to clients.

• Facilitate analytic demonstrations and provide hands-on training for customers.

• Oversee, monitor, promote, and encourage the effective utilization of data applications.

• Partner with business and clinical leaders throughout Intermountain Health.

• Enhance technical expertise through personal learning and engagement in the analytic community.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations.

• Mentor and support junior analysts.

• Implement product, project, or program management methodologies in data analytic projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management tasks.

• Expertise in creating advanced visualizations and dashboards.

• High level of proficiency in office applications for creating detailed reports and presentations.

• Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting data insights to senior leadership.

• Extensive knowledge of healthcare data gained through specialized projects.

• Experience in promoting team collaboration and supporting individual growth.

• Proven ability to stay informed about industry trends and developments.

• Demonstrated experience in providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.

• Advanced understanding of Product Management, Project Management, or Program Management principles and methodologies, and the ability to apply them in data analytic projects.

• Epic Cogito certification preferred.

• Experience with the Databricks platform is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in analytics-related fields preferred, along with four years of relevant data analysis experience.

• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in another field with six years of relevant work experience in data analysis is preferred.

• Experience without a related degree will be considered if skills and experience are substantial.

• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while working on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
