Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise analytics and business intelligence solutions utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

• Create and manage governed, reusable enterprise semantic models.

• Develop certified Power BI datasets and reusable analytical components.

• Construct and enhance executive, operational, compliance, and mission-driven dashboards.

• Evaluate dashboard and reporting portfolios for usage, redundancy, technical debt, performance, consolidation, and retirement opportunities.

• Formulate plans for dashboard consolidation, modernization, and migration.

• Create complex DAX measures, calculations, and business logic.

• Prepare and transform data using Power Query and related capabilities.

• Implement row-level and object-level security in accordance with governance and access-control requirements.

• Facilitate governed self-service analytics and assess licensing, capacity, deployment, Copilot, and AI-enabled analytics strategies.

• Develop predictive models, forecasting tools, analytical frameworks, and decision-support capabilities.

• Assist in analytics strategy, roadmap development, and product portfolio management.

• Collect requirements and convert business needs into functional specifications, analytical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate analytics, data engineering, governance, application, and source-system workstreams.

• Conduct data analysis, validation, reconciliation, quality checks, and troubleshooting.

• Create documentation, data dictionaries, user guides, and quick-reference materials.

• Support demonstrations, user acceptance testing, training, and adoption initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Data Analysts and Associate Data Analysts.

• Establish reusable standards for reporting, semantic modeling, visualization, and analytics development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing enterprise business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions.

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Power BI.

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar enterprise analytics platforms.

• Advanced skills in DAX.

• Strong background in Power Query and data transformation processes.

• Experience in designing and maintaining enterprise semantic models.

• Proven experience in developing reusable and certified datasets for enterprise analytics.

• Experience creating executive, operational, and compliance dashboards.

• Experience assessing and rationalizing enterprise dashboard or reporting portfolios.

• Ability to translate business requirements into functional analytics specifications.

• Experience leading requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops.

• Proficient in implementing row-level security and other analytics access-control mechanisms.

• Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and security principles.

• Experience in optimizing dashboard performance and analytical troubleshooting.

• Experience in supporting analytics product lifecycle management, modernization, or migration efforts.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to other analysts.

• Active Secret clearance.
