Senior Data & AI Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete solution architecture for data, analytics, and AI applications, ensuring high standards for design quality, security, scalability, supportability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Convert business requirements into actionable technical designs, target architectures, integration strategies, and implementation guidance that is ready for delivery.

• Lead by example with hands-on prototyping, conducting architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and providing technical support during code/design reviews for delivery teams.

• Ensure that security, governance, compliance, and operational readiness are integrated into solutions from the design phase through to production deployment.

• Assist delivery teams by guiding them through design processes, prototyping, implementation, reviews, and ensuring production readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in IT, including more than 5 years in senior solution architecture roles focused on enterprise data, analytics, and AI platforms.

• At least 5 years of robust hands-on experience with Azure-based data platforms, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, data lake architectures, SQL, and dimensional data modeling.

• Proven expertise in enterprise security, governance, and compliance.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with enterprise architects and guiding or regulatory functions to align with organizational standards and control requirements.

• Experience in designing solutions utilizing Azure OpenAI and retrieval-augmented (RAG) patterns.

• Background in BI/analytics architecture with Power BI or a comparable enterprise BI technology.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Power BI architecture, including semantic models, DAX, Power Query, workspace strategy, governance, performance optimization, and enterprise reporting patterns.

• Familiarity with Microsoft-first AI platforms and services such as Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel, Prompt Flow, and enterprise AI governance frameworks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD processes for Data or AI solutions.

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft security and governance services, including Microsoft Entra, Purview, and Key Vault.

• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated sectors.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure, Power BI, data, or AI architecture.
