Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – IT Endpoint Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and provide support for enterprise endpoint infrastructure, platforms, and services across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.

• Assist in endpoint management, patch management, software delivery, vulnerability remediation, endpoint security, configuration management, and automation.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to enhance endpoint services.

• Utilize enterprise tools, scripting, automation, telemetry, and custom applications to monitor service health, optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance reliability and scalability.

• Engage in an on-call rotation for upgrades, platform maintenance, application support, security remediation, root cause analysis, and post-mortem evaluations.

• Act as a technical mentor to fellow engineers.

• Establish engineering standards, refine operational processes, lead technical initiatives, and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Create automation workflows for data collection, investigation, and incident response.

• Formulate strategies and capabilities for threat hunting and data analysis.

• Identify technologies and methodologies for detecting malicious activities.

• Scope and proactively address emerging threats.

• Design, build, configure, maintain, and oversee cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management.

• Report to a Manager or Senior Manager; no direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of pertinent engineering experience.

• Professional background as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, Security Engineer, or a comparable technical role.

• Practical experience with enterprise endpoint management, patching, software delivery, or configuration management platforms such as Tanium, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Microsoft Intune, Broadcom Altiris, BigFix, Ivanti, or similar technologies.

• Experience in deploying software, patches, configuration changes, and remediation actions across extensive endpoint or server environments.

• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and/or Linux endpoints.

• Experience in troubleshooting endpoint-to-server and endpoint-to-cloud network communications.

• Experience in supporting enterprise infrastructure and application services, including databases and associated platform components.

• Familiarity with operating system command-line utilities and scripting or automation technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Bash/Shell scripting, or similar languages.

• Experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team.

• Experience in operating or delivering a production service and providing insights related to service strategy, architecture, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and proficiency in performing root cause analysis across complex enterprise environments.

• Must be at least eighteen years of age or older.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• High school diploma and/or GED.
