This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the IT & Security Team effectively.
• Supervise the IT & Security project roadmap, manage helpdesk workflows, and prioritize cross-functional initiatives such as migrations, system implementations, and security improvements.
• Ensure a structured, automated, and audit-ready set of security and compliance processes, procedures, and protocols are maintained.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, as well as departmental stakeholders, on shared security initiatives and develop clear project plans for complex technical changes.
• Oversee the company's application authentication strategy, access management standards, and disaster recovery processes for essential systems.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluations, contracts, and renewals to ensure that tool expenditures are handled carefully and thoughtfully.
• Supervise one direct report and work closely with leaders across the organization.
• Support the technology, security, and compliance systems that ensure the remote workplace remains successful and secure.
• 3-5 years of experience in managing a team focused on IT, Security, or Technical Operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in a fully remote work environment.
• Proven experience in managing IT project roadmaps, vendor relationships, and executing enterprise system migrations or rollouts.
• Familiarity with enterprise identity and access management, authentication standards, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience handling data through various delivery methods.
• Knowledge of AWS security (IAM, CloudTrail, Inspector, Organizations + SCP).
• Experience with SSO and identity providers (preferably Okta).
• Familiarity with compliance automation tools (e.g., Vanta).
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Previous experience in a data company is not mandatory but is valued.
• Understanding of remote security tooling (Tailscale, SentinelOne, 1Password).
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code technologies (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must respond to application questions regarding fully remote startup experience, compliance automation, AWS security, scripting, vendor/tool-spend management, and identity/endpoint-tool administration.
