Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate security capabilities across identity management, devices, networks, applications, data, and cloud infrastructures.

• Convert NIST, FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP, and agency-specific security requirements into actionable technical controls.

• Assist in authorization processes by creating and reviewing system security documentation, control evidence, and remediation strategies.

• Examine vulnerabilities, control deficiencies, and security observations; formulate technical recommendations and monitor their resolution.

• Provide guidance to architects, engineers, system owners, and management regarding security design and risk management strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant technical experience.

• At least seven years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or security assessment.

• Proficiency with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, and authorization-to-operate processes.

• Experience in applying Zero Trust principles and evaluating security controls in cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments.

• Capability to generate clear technical documentation and communicate security risks and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

• Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may be required to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
