This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assist in activities aimed at preventing, disrupting, and mitigating offenses related to medicines and medical devices.
• Lead a team of analysts to produce strategic and tactical intelligence assessments utilizing suitable analytical methodologies and techniques.
• Oversee intelligence analysis and assessments to pinpoint threats, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide insights to guide strategic and operational priorities as well as decision-making processes.
• Ensure the delivery of work meets high professional standards and contribute to ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Criminal Enforcement Unit and the broader MHRA to achieve common goals.
• Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and organizational performance.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and support various work areas as necessary.
• Supervise the production and quality assurance of intelligence assessments.
• Recent experience in a law enforcement or criminal intelligence environment.
• Capability to lead a team in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Experience in managing the assessment and analysis of intelligence to inform and drive both operational and strategic activities.
• Background in evaluating information, managing risks, and making evidence-based decisions to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Proven experience in leading or coordinating operational activities, projects, or initiatives that yield measurable outcomes and promote continuous improvement.
• Acknowledged recent formal training in intelligence assessment and analysis (GIAT or equivalent), or demonstrable competence at the Highly Proficient level per the PHIA Professional Development Framework.
• Ability to supervise the production and quality assurance of intelligence assessments, including Strategic Threat Assessments, Control Strategies, and Strategic Intelligence Requirements.
• Proficiency in gathering, evaluating, and interpreting information from diverse sources to aid operational decision-making and provide clear recommendations.
• Candidates must fulfill UK immigration requirements and adhere to Civil Service nationality regulations.
• Successful candidates are required to pass disclosure and barring security checks, checks related to animal rights and pro-life activism, and basic personnel security standard checks where applicable.
• Successful candidates will be subject to an Internal Fraud Database check.
