This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the structuring, analysis, and approval of intricate credit transactions.
• Actively monitor portfolio risk while identifying industry trends and economic factors that impact credit quality.
• Provide guidance to sales and senior leadership regarding credit negotiations and deal execution.
• Collaborate with clients, legal counsel, and internal teams to structure and negotiate credit agreements.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and deliver training on credit risk best practices.
• Identify and communicate areas for improvement in credit processes and procedures to senior leadership.
• Make independent judgments and decisions regarding the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to the assigned portfolio.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as required.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance policies, standards, laws, and required training.
• Shape the credit strategy, underwriting practices, risk management, and portfolio health while supporting the bank's growth objectives.
• Bachelor's degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 12+ years of equivalent experience.
• Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent), with an MBA or CFA preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in commercial credit analysis/structuring, underwriting, portfolio management, and risk analysis.
• More than 10 years of experience in the specific line of business.
• Extensive expertise in structuring and negotiating complex credit agreements.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence credit strategy and policy.
• Comprehensive understanding of macroeconomic factors and their effects on credit risk.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios and provide advice to senior executives.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in legal documentation, including credit agreements.
• Capability to develop junior associates, engage with legal counsel, and negotiate directly with clients.
• Thorough knowledge of complex commercial lending structures, industry trends, and economic factors affecting credit risk.
• Ability to evaluate portfolio risk at a macro level.
• Expertise in negotiating complex loan terms.
• Familiarity with credit policies, compliance standards, and legal considerations in lending.
• Skill in articulating complex credit decisions clearly and persuasively.
