Senior Credit Products Portfolio Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the structuring, analysis, and approval of intricate credit transactions.

• Actively monitor portfolio risk and pinpoint industry trends and economic factors that affect credit quality.

• Collaborate as a strategic ally with relationship managers and senior leadership during credit negotiations and deal execution.

• Engage with clients, legal advisors, and internal teams to design and negotiate credit agreements.

• Guide junior credit professionals by providing training and leadership in credit risk best practices.

• Identify areas for enhancing credit processes and procedures and communicate them to senior leadership.

• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in making decisions related to the assigned portfolio.

• Analyze and address issues related to the assigned portfolio.

• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary.

• Comply with regulatory and compliance policies, standards, laws, regulations, and required training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 12+ years of equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in commercial credit analysis/structuring, underwriting, portfolio management, and risk analysis.

• Extensive expertise in structuring and negotiating complex credit agreements.

• Strong leadership capabilities with the skill to influence credit strategy and policy.

• Comprehensive understanding of macroeconomic factors and their influence on credit risk.

• Proven track record in managing large portfolios and advising senior executives.

• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient in legal documentation, including Credit Agreements, and capable of developing junior associates, interacting with legal counsel, and negotiating directly with clients.

• Master’s Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent), MBA, or CFA is preferred.
