Senior Credit Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the credit performance for the primary cash advance product in Mexico.

• Establish and refine credit policies regarding eligibility, loan amount allocation, pricing, and repeat-loan progression.

• Achieve a balance between product growth and profitability.

• Sustain and enhance the unit economics and valuations model.

• Evaluate performance and pinpoint opportunities for execution.

• Create, launch, and analyze experiments throughout the borrower lifecycle.

• Oversee vintage performance, early delinquency, and roll rates.

• Identify performance deviations and implement corrective measures.

• Collaborate with Data Science to transition risk models from validation to production.

• Assess model impact and manage release and monitoring strategies.

• Work in partnership with Product, Engineering, Collections, Finance, BI, and Marketing teams.

• Disseminate insights with credit teams operating in other markets within the global credit organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in consumer credit risk.

• Preferably, experience in fintech or digital lending.

• Proven track record in managing credit policy for an active portfolio.

• Familiarity with agentic AI tools to enhance work efficiency and quality.

• Experience in constructing or overseeing a unit economics or valuations model and leveraging it for business decisions.

• Skilled in designing and interpreting A/B tests with appropriate safeguards.

• Ability to differentiate between signal and noise.

• Proficient in executive-level writing.

• Capability to influence Product, Engineering, and Data Science partners without formal authority.

• Understanding of the Mexican consumer lending market.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
