This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create a persuasive case theme that addresses and counters emotional appeals from the plaintiff.
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trial proceedings.
• Oversee cases from strategic planning through discovery, motion practices, and trial preparations.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team with varying levels of experience.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys.
• Advocate for manufacturers and corporate clients in significant Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and consumer litigation cases throughout California.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited institution.
• Active license to practice law in the State of California is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• At least 5 years of litigation experience focusing on Lemon Law defense cases.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation.
• At least 2 years of experience in General Liability defense.
• Capability to manage comprehensive case responsibilities, encompassing all elements of discovery and trial.
• Preferred experience in handling insurance defense cases.
• Familiarity with time management systems is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
• Experience representing manufacturers, automotive clients, or other product defendants is highly valued; backgrounds in consumer advocacy or CRLA are also welcome.
• Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for each subsequent tier.
