This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create persuasive case themes and strategies.
• Oversee matters, manage discovery processes, conduct and defend depositions, engage in substantive motion practice, assess exposure, and prepare cases for mediation and trial.
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
• Interact directly with clients and ensure regular communication.
• Build relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Prepare and support litigation related to California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, automotive warranty disputes, consumer litigation, and associated product matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys across various teams and matters.
• Work alongside seasoned trial lawyers to enhance courtroom and trial skills.
• Provide guidance and direction to junior attorneys.
• Assume full responsibility for case strategy, client relationships, and overall case management.
• JD from a school accredited by the ABA.
• Active California Bar license; must be licensed to practice in California.
• Over 8 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• More than 5 years of litigation experience in handling Lemon Law defense cases.
• At least 2 years of experience in CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in General Liability defense.
• Capability to manage comprehensive case handling responsibilities, including all aspects of discovery and trial.
• Preferred experience in handling insurance defense cases.
• Familiarity with time management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to think independently and act with minimal supervision.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Experience in Lemon Law defense, automotive warranty litigation, consumer litigation, or other related complex civil litigation.
• Experience representing manufacturers, automotive companies, dealerships, or other corporate defendants is valued.
• Annual billable hours bonus ranging from $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for every extra tier.
