This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create engaging case themes.
• Manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials independently.
• Oversee case management and develop strategic approaches.
• Supervise discovery processes and conduct as well as defend depositions.
• Handle significant motion practices.
• Interact directly with clients and maintain regular communication.
• Assess exposure and prepare cases for mediation and trial.
• Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys of varying experience levels and teams.
• Offer leadership and guidance to junior attorneys.
• Collaborate with seasoned trial lawyers to enhance courtroom and trial competencies.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited institution.
• Must hold an active California Bar license and be licensed to practice in California.
• A minimum of 8 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• At least 5 years of litigation experience focused on Lemon Law defense cases.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation.
• At least 2 years of General Liability defense experience.
• Capable of managing complete case responsibilities, encompassing all aspects of discovery and trial.
• Preferred experience in handling insurance defense matters.
• Familiarity with time management systems.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with $7,500 added for each additional tier.
