Senior Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer advice on pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and pharmacy operations as well as contract structuring.

• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance related to PBM and pharmacy services.

• Draft, negotiate, and oversee contracts.

• Manage both legal and business risks.

• Assist with strategic initiatives, which include negotiations of contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers and ERISA self-funded employee welfare benefit plans.

• Offer insights on compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Advise on risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and the legal implications of commercial projects.

• Keep track of and analyze changes in legislation and regulations.

• Assist with audits, investigations, and responses to regulatory inquiries.

• Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

• Active membership in a state bar association.

• Strong skills in legal writing and analysis.

• Capability to work independently with general supervision and collaboratively in team environments.

• A strong desire to contribute to an organization dedicated to enhancing consumer experiences.

• Preferred expertise in PBM and ERISA.

• Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for employees working from home or in hybrid settings.
