This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary daily contact for clients, delivering enhanced cost management services.
• Provide guidance and leadership while embodying Turner & Townsend’s mission, values, and vision.
• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the entirety of the construction lifecycle.
• Create and present final cost plans, developing cost plans and estimates in alignment with design milestones.
• Evaluate design services and general contractor cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and confirm the accuracy of contractor data.
• Collect project status updates and prepare revisions for cost estimates.
• Review contractor submissions and generate written feedback along with executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost-related information from project stakeholders, suppliers, subcontractors, and architects/engineers.
• Advise engineering priorities based on cost implications.
• Oversee cost checks, valuations, variations post-contract, change control, contingency, and commitment tracking.
• Prepare presentations for funding data and facilitate value engineering sessions.
• Assess contractor and subcontractor pricing while leading negotiations on the client side.
• Generate monthly cost reports and negotiate final accounts.
• Compile cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
• Manage financial reporting, margin tracking, forecasts for fees/resources, and internal business management systems.
• Develop parametric and hybrid cost models for estimating, benchmarking, and scenario analysis.
• Create detailed estimates and budgets for workplace construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and tenant improvements.
• Track project costs, financial risks, adherence to budgets, cash flow, accruals, and forecasting.
• Maintain financial documentation while ensuring compliance with client policies, contracts, and applicable SOX controls.
• Support AI-enabled cost modeling tools and scalable cost intelligence platforms.
• Work with technical teams to translate cost workflows into digital solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams on scope, cost, delivery strategy, value engineering, and data-driven recommendations.
• Mentor team members while identifying, coaching, and developing talent.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in leading cost management for medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including procurement methods, value management, and value engineering.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward it is preferred.
• Experience in construction consultancy is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with parametric and hybrid cost models.
• Background in cost estimating, budgeting, cost planning, cost controls, change management, financial risk management, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Skill in utilizing historical data, market intelligence, and industry trends.
• Ability to align cost plans with project schedules for cash flow management, accruals, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in supporting AI-enabled cost modeling tools and digital cost solutions.
• Competence in conveying complex cost and risk insights to senior stakeholders.
