
Senior Cost Manager β Quantity Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on a daily basis while providing enhanced cost management services.
β’ Assess and negotiate change orders throughout the construction process.
β’ Generate and deliver final cost plans, estimates, budgets, and monthly financial reports.
β’ Evaluate design services and cost estimates from general contractors.
β’ Reconcile modifications and verify contractor data.
β’ Collect project status updates and prepare revisions for cost estimates.
β’ Review contractor submissions and craft written feedback and executive summaries.
β’ Coordinate cost data from NPA, subcontractors, and architects/engineers.
β’ Advise on engineering priorities based on cost implications.
β’ Oversee cost checks, valuations, audits, and validation processes.
β’ Manage cost influences, contingencies, commitments, post-contract discrepancies, and change control measures.
β’ Create presentations for funding data and facilitate value engineering discussions.
β’ Provide commercial perspectives on design options and value engineering initiatives.
β’ Analyze pricing from contractors and subcontractors while spearheading client-side negotiations.
β’ Align cost plans with project timelines to optimize cash flow, accruals, and forecasting.
β’ Develop parametric and hybrid cost models for estimating, benchmarking, and scenario evaluations.
β’ Utilize historical data, market insights, and industry trends to enhance cost outputs.
β’ Support AI-driven cost modeling tools and scalable cost intelligence platforms.
β’ Collaborate with technical teams to convert workflows into digital solutions.
β’ Partner with clients and project teams to synchronize scope, cost, and delivery strategies.
β’ Convey cost and risk insights to senior stakeholders.
β’ Contribute to corporate cost strategies, capital planning, and long-term forecasting efforts.
β’ Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Monitor commission margins, fees, resource forecasts, and financial reports utilizing internal software.
β’ Maintain business management systems, delivery methodologies, and SOX controls where applicable.
β’ Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
β’ A minimum of 5β7 years of pertinent experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
β’ Proven experience in managing costs on medium or large construction projects with moderate to high complexity.
β’ Solid understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
β’ Exceptional communication skills.
β’ RICS accreditation or progress toward it is preferred.
β’ Strong preference for candidates with construction consultancy experience.
β’ Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
β’ Capability to operate in a client-facing position.
