This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates during the preliminary, intermediate, final, and release-for-construction phases of design.
• Evaluate estimates created by consultants and contractors.
• Generate cost estimates to assist in the assessment of value engineering studies.
• Aid in conducting constructability reviews.
• Provide support in negotiations related to contract change modifications and potential claims.
• Work collaboratively with technical experts across North America and globally.
• Contribute to projects in transportation, aviation, rail, transit, water, structural, environmental, and infrastructure sectors.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating.
• Diverse experience in transportation projects, particularly in rail, highway, and aviation.
• Experience with transit agency owner costs is preferred.
• Proficiency in estimating software, especially HCSS HeavyBid, is preferred.
• Professional certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of FTA (Federal Transit Administration) guidelines and funding requirements.
• Expertise in industry-standard estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools, and Agtek.
• Strong comprehension of construction methods and materials.
• In-depth understanding of project delivery methods: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM/GC, and PDB.
• Solid grasp of transit project components and systems.
