This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Develop, implement, and uphold effective cost management protocols.
• Provide guidance and support to the central Real Estate team as a Cost Estimator for internal construction projects globally.
• Assist Project Managers in establishing realistic construction project budgets that align with project specifications, procurement strategies, contract types, regional building codes, and market conditions.
• Identify major cost risks and create mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
• Deliver cost estimates from preliminary phases through detailed project stages.
• Assess cost control strategies during project execution.
• Analyze cost forecasts and reports to ensure adherence to budget and cash-out plans.
• Leverage expertise in cost- and time-efficient construction techniques to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Assist in value engineering, pricing, and negotiations regarding claims with General Contractors.
• Work closely with Project Managers to facilitate project success and achieve client growth objectives.
• Bachelor's degree is required, with a focus on construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (both pre-contract and post-contract) is required.
• In-depth knowledge of typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and relevant factors affecting costs.
• Capability to critically evaluate and challenge cost plans for quality and precision.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable contract types, such as pre-construction project partnering, Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, and BTS-Lease.
• International experience in industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with digital design methodologies such as BIM and cost databases.
• A structured and organized approach to work, with the ability to operate independently.
• Proficiency in RIB iTwo, CostX, or similar tools is essential.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
