This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +15 more states.
β’ Execute cathodic protection measures on underground steel pipelines.
β’ Carry out annual inspections.
β’ Diagnose and maintain CP systems.
β’ Conduct coating operations.
β’ Offer expert assistance for the installation, upkeep, and monitoring of corrosion control systems.
β’ Perform non-destructive testing on various facilities.
β’ Install, evaluate, adjust, and repair rectifiers, anodes, and test points.
β’ Identify and rectify interference and foreign-contact issues.
β’ Conduct continuity tests, soil resistivity assessments, and other specialized surveys.
β’ Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and repair cathodic protection instruments and equipment.
β’ Ensure that maintenance is performed on company vehicles.
β’ Complete and refresh test readings, maps, diagrams, job orders, completion reports, and equipment maintenance documentation.
β’ Gather, confirm, and prepare forecasts versus actual expenses, along with governmental, regulatory, financial, and reconciliation reports.
β’ Measure internal, external, and atmospheric corrosion in line with industry standards.
β’ Undertake environmental activities as prescribed.
β’ Execute DOT-regulated pipeline operations, maintenance, or emergency-response tasks as required.
β’ Travel to various locations and job sites.
β’ 3β5 years of relevant experience in corrosion control.
β’ Familiarity with company and governmental operational/safety protocols.
β’ Background in construction and maintenance tasks.
β’ Experience in locating pipelines.
β’ Understanding of One Call System policies and procedures.
β’ Proficient in using, maintaining, and repairing cathodic protection tools and equipment.
β’ Knowledge of facility/system operations.
β’ Experience in pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgy.
β’ Capable of reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures, survey results, plats, atlas pages, rectifier reports, and operation and repair manuals.
β’ Competence in performing basic arithmetic.
β’ Effective communication skills for exchanging written and verbal information and instructions.
β’ Ability to work in confined spaces and on elevated surfaces.
β’ Capacity to respond promptly to emergency situations.
β’ Skills to operate necessary tools and equipment.
β’ Willingness to drive for extended durations.
β’ NACE Cathodic Protection Certification/Corrosion Certification is preferred.
β’ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and meet specified physical requirements.
β’ A valid driver's license may be necessary when assigned a company vehicle.
β’ Eligibility for remote work in designated states.
β’ Travel for office meetings and job sites.
