This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the formulation, execution, and maintenance of Ventura Foods' maintenance and reliability strategy throughout the manufacturing network.
• Establish and maintain the enterprise reliability strategy alongside its governance framework.
• Provide leadership in defining reliability standards, performance expectations, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Supervise preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance initiatives while auditing the quality of maintenance execution.
• Implement work order management processes, asset management strategies, preventive maintenance optimization, loss elimination initiatives, and reliability best practices.
• Direct MRO, optimize spare parts, establish storeroom management standards, and develop inventory strategies.
• Enhance maintenance and reliability talent through technical training, workshops, skills matrices, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Develop and oversee reliability scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, audits, and reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze performance trends, pinpoint improvement opportunities, facilitate corrective measures, and enhance equipment uptime and maintenance efficiency.
• Govern root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Oversee CMMS utilization, ensure maintenance data integrity, standardize work processes, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, site leadership, vendors, and suppliers across manufacturing locations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be taken into account.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or manufacturing within a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods setting.
• Proven experience in implementing maintenance and reliability systems, including CMMS, work order management, asset hierarchy, maintenance planning and scheduling, and reliability performance management.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or an equivalent reliability certification.
• Experience in leading enterprise or multi-site reliability initiatives.
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change through influence, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), root cause analysis (RCA), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and asset management practices.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing regulatory standards, food safety programs, process safety management (PSM), and environmental compliance requirements.
• Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, asset hierarchy development, bill of materials (BOM) management, and maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to interpret reliability, maintenance, and operational performance data.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain standardized maintenance and reliability processes across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Capacity to collaborate with plant management, external vendors, and suppliers to identify, implement, and optimize process and facility enhancements.
• In-depth knowledge of plant process operations, including processing, mechanical, electrical, and structural challenges and inefficiencies.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives concurrently.
• Must possess a background in wastewater management, safety, and ammonia refrigeration.
• Travel requirement: 20% - 50%.
