This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead and propel revenue and market share objectives for the Coronary portfolio within the designated district.
• Formulate and implement strategic business initiatives.
• Build and nurture high-performing sales teams while cultivating essential customer relationships.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on cardiovascular sales and marketing goals.
• Develop and execute both short-term and long-term business strategies.
• Conduct field visits, as well as individual and group meetings, and make telephone contacts.
• Train and enhance employees' skills in sales, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive insights, and career aspirations.
• Coordinate sales activities effectively.
• Communicate the corporate, divisional, regional, and district missions, objectives, and initiatives.
• Direct and inspire staff to meet unit and revenue targets.
• Provide continuous feedback and coaching, and organize performance evaluations.
• Implement corrective measures as needed.
• Support employees with their individual development plans.
• Employ customer-centric quality concepts.
• Oversee district budgets, forecasts, inventory, and expenditures.
• Negotiate and resolve pricing and contract challenges.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and managers across other product lines.
• Foster ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to clients.
• Recruit and interview candidates, maintain a talent pool, hire top candidates, and promote workplace diversity objectives.
• Provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing leadership.
• Travel to multiple accounts throughout the region.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of medical sales experience and two years of sales leadership, or an advanced degree with 5 years of medical sales experience and two years of sales leadership.
• A valid driver's license for the state of residency.
• An active vehicle insurance policy.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment.
• Proven track record in medical sales, preferably with pacing or stent products.
• Experience in sales and personnel management functions.
• Familiarity with the pacing or interventional cardiology customer base.
• Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related fields.
• Ability to reside within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane.
• Capacity to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform prolonged computer-based work.
• Capability to work in Cath Labs and/or O.R. with exposure to radiation.
• Competence to wear a lead apron for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outside the standard Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree meeting 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
