This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication among Client Services, Board reviewers, and clients.

• Prepare informed consent forms for meetings and post-meeting that reflect Board concerns and edits.

• Draft proposed meeting determinations for Chair review.

• Host the online platform for IRB meetings.

• Offer pre-meeting and in-meeting support to Chairs and Board Members to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Address and manage complex issues that arise during IRB meetings.

• Identify and resolve issues that require attention from the IRB and Chair.

• Challenge or clarify opinions and inquiries during IRB meetings.

• Collaborate with Client Services to report special issues to the IRB.

• Analyze and propose enhancements to the IRB review processes.

• Conduct thorough pre-reviews of consent forms to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Edit consent forms to align with regulatory standards and Advarra's operational guidelines.

• Apply negotiated language in consent forms as per client agreements.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate necessary edits.

• Perform quality-control checks on consent forms.

• Stay informed about U.S. and/or Canadian regulations and guidelines regarding human-subject protections and research areas.

• Complete standard Human Subjects Research Training, such as CITI, as per management's schedule.

• Meet organizational training requirements.

• Attend conferences, webinars, and workshops as agreed upon with management.

• Manage IRB meetings on a weekly basis, in addition to other Board meetings as required by management.

• Mentor new team members when requested.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IRB experience alongside a bachelor’s degree; or a combination of education and experience.

• Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or obtain CIP within one (1) year of eligibility.

• In-depth understanding of federal laws and guidelines related to Human Subjects Research Protection.

• Proficient in MS Word and Outlook.

• Capability to sit or stand for extended periods at a stationary workstation.

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and lower objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

• Competence in learning and understanding basic instructions.

• Strong focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities.

• Effective verbal communication skills, along with active listening and understanding.
