Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Prepare, analyze, and continuously enhance monthly financial reports for designated companies and business units.

• Take a pivotal role in assessing and analyzing inventories, with a particular focus on work in progress and ongoing projects.

• Ensure that inventory valuation is transparent and traceable.

• Actively assist with month-end closing and analyze results in close partnership with the Accounting department.

• Evaluate financial and operational KPIs.

• Identify discrepancies and formulate specific action recommendations.

• Aid in budget planning and prepare forecasts.

• Conduct budget-versus-actual analyses and variance assessments.

• Provide advice and support to the executive management team, management, and operational departments on business-related issues.

• Further develop, digitalize, and standardize controlling, reporting, and valuation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Business Administration focusing on Controlling, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of substantial professional experience in Controlling.

• Ideally, experience in a similar senior-level role.

• Excellent understanding of financial reporting.

• Practical experience in supporting month-end closing activities.

• Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, preferably involving work in progress, ongoing projects, or project-related inventories.

• Ideally, experience in construction, skilled trades, or a similar project-oriented industry.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Ideally, familiarity with ERP and BI systems.

• Strong analytical thinking and a grasp of business relationships.

• Structured and independent work approach.

• Hands-on mentality.

• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for collaborating with various departments.
