This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes for businesses based in the US.

• Utilize AI technologies such as ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis and Microsoft Copilot to assess financial data, detect spending irregularities, and create comprehensive financial performance reports.

• Create and sustain rolling cash flow forecasts, financial models, and annual budgets through AI-enhanced forecasting software.

• Implement and manage AI-based OCR and AP/AR automation solutions like Bill.com or Dext.

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial performance reports, which include P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, to executive leadership.

• Collaborate with external CPA firms regarding tax preparation and compliance obligations.

• Supervise the financial well-being of expanding US-based SMEs and provide strategic insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6+ years of increasing responsibility in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a Controller role.

• Deep knowledge of US accounting standards (US GAAP).

• Experience with US-based clientele.

• Practical experience or strong skills in using Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for Finance, for drafting financial summaries, creating macros, or developing complex Excel formulas/scripts.

• Direct experience with cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite, including built-in AI or automation integrations.

• Proficient in English (C1 level).

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive-level interactions.

• High level of integrity and the ability to work independently.

• A strong desire to innovate traditional financial processes.
