Senior Controller – AI-Enabled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing procedures for businesses located in the US.

• Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis and Microsoft Copilot to evaluate financial datasets.

• Detect spending irregularities and create narrative reports on financial performance.

• Formulate and sustain rolling cash flow forecasts, financial models, and yearly budgets.

• Employ AI-supported forecasting software to anticipate financial trends.

• Implement and manage AI-driven OCR and AP/AR automation tools like Bill.com or Dext.

• Enhance invoice processing and minimize human errors.

• Compile and present monthly financial performance packages, which include P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.

• Collaborate with external CPA firms for tax preparation and compliance obligations.

• Supervise the financial wellbeing of expanding SMEs based in the US.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or as a Controller.

• Solid understanding of US accounting standards (US GAAP).

• Experience working with clients based in the US.

• Practical experience or strong proficiency in using Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for Finance.

• Capability to draft financial summaries, create macros, or write complex Excel formulas/scripts utilizing Generative AI tools.

• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.

• Familiarity with native AI or automation integrations for cloud accounting platforms.

• Advanced proficiency in English (C1).

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.

• High level of integrity, independence, and motivation to modernize conventional financial workflows.
