Senior Controller, AI-Enabled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes for businesses based in the US.

• Utilize AI technologies like ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis and Microsoft Copilot to analyze financial data, detect spending irregularities, and create narrative performance reports.

• Create and manage ongoing cash flow forecasts, financial models, and annual budgets using AI-enhanced forecasting tools.

• Implement and supervise AI-powered OCR and AP/AR automation tools such as Bill.com or Dext.

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial performance packages that include P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.

• Collaborate with external CPA firms to ensure compliance with tax preparation and related requirements.

• Offer strategic financial insights and modernize financial workflows for expanding SMEs based in the US.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Finance, or as a Controller.

• Strong knowledge of US accounting standards (US GAAP).

• Experience serving US-based clients.

• Practical experience or a high level of proficiency with Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for Finance.

• Capability to compose financial summaries, develop macros, or write complex Excel formulas/scripts.

• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting solutions such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.

• Familiarity with native AI or automation integrations for cloud accounting platforms.

• Advanced proficiency in English (C1).

• Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities.
