This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of contracts related to significant government projects.
• Negotiate and manage agreements among the company, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Examine solicitation terms, contract awards, agreement stipulations, amendments, and modifications.
• Analyze agreement terms and conditions to identify potential challenges.
• Assess contractual documents for compliance with policy, government specifications, and requirements.
• Recognize contractual risks and concerns, offering advice, guidance, and support to Contract Leads, Program Managers, and Operations Managers.
• Address inquiries regarding contract responsibilities and revisions.
• Ensure the fulfillment of contract deliverables, billing processes, and cash collection.
• Prepare and analyze significant pricing proposals.
• Engage in TINA implementation and sweeps.
• Negotiate terms and conditions effectively.
• Monitor contract performance, cost controls, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
• Draft teaming agreements, MOUs, MOAs, consultant agreements, sales representative agreements, and other contractual documents.
• Prepare contract terms and conditions, along with assembling contract documentation packages.
• Participate in management reviews of proposals/contracts and program evaluations.
• Assist with the applications for export licenses.
• Support subcontract negotiation and management efforts.
• Promote, communicate, and uphold DRS’ mission, values, and culture.
• Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
• Execute special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Prime US Government contracts, FMS contracts, and/or Commercial contracts.
• NCMA Certified Contracts Professional (CFCM, CPCM) is preferred.
• Robust knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
• Strong grasp of contract/purchase order terms and conditions.
• Extensive understanding of the government contracting process, including sole source and competitive procurements.
• In-depth knowledge of terms and conditions for FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, and various other contract types.
• Advanced understanding of government intellectual property/software and data rights clauses along with IP marking guidelines.
• Proficient in source selection/evaluation, including cost and price analysis.
• Familiarity and experience in administering government property.
• Detailed knowledge of government contract administration, including subcontract flow-downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention.
• Thorough understanding of drafting, negotiating, and utilizing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, teaming agreements, and other agreements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in contract/agreement briefing, negotiation, and review.
• Track record of monitoring contracts/subcontracts of increasing complexity and value.
• General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
