This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee both production and non-production Clarity and Caboodle environments, including tasks such as configuration, upgrades, patching, and organized environment refreshes.
• Plan, monitor, and resolve issues with Clarity extracts and Caboodle ETL processes.
• Investigate and address failed or delayed jobs, manage dependencies, and inform reporting teams about data availability impacts.
• Supervise database growth and workload performance metrics.
• Manage indexes and statistics, identify resource bottlenecks, and collaborate with database and infrastructure teams for tuning efforts.
• Regulate database access controls and oversee service accounts.
• Confirm backups and restores, and engage in disaster recovery testing.
• Evaluate the operational implications of Epic updates and schema modifications.
• Organize testing with reporting developers and verify successful data loads after maintenance or upgrades.
• Keep ETL runbooks, configuration documentation, and recovery protocols up to date.
• Automate routine checks, monitor recurring issues, and implement enhancements to ensure data delivery reliability.
• A minimum of three years' experience as a Clarity/Caboodle administrator in a hospital setting.
• At least three years of practical Clarity/Caboodle administration experience in a hospital or health system, including production support for both platforms.
• Current Epic certification in Clarity Administration and Caboodle Administration.
• Proven experience in managing Clarity extracts and Caboodle ETL workflows, including recovery from failures, troubleshooting, and validation of completed loads.
• Proficient SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with administering Microsoft SQL Server environments, covering jobs, permissions, performance monitoring, and backup/recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Clarity Console, Caboodle administration tools, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Preferred: experience in supporting large hospital reporting environments, knowledge of downstream business intelligence tools, and a track record of enhancing ETL reliability, runtime, or administrative efficiency.
