This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Manage federal, state, and/or local contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, which includes proposal preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout.
• Work in conjunction with clients and teams from technical, business development, subcontracts, and accounting to provide comprehensive contract support.
• Offer guidance to senior management regarding contractual risks, compliance issues, and overall contract strategy.
• Collaborate with technical and business leaders to produce compliant and competitive proposals.
• Perform research and analysis related to contracts.
• Aid in the development and ongoing enhancement of policies, procedures, and best practices for the contract department.
• Assist in training and development programs within the Contracts Department.
• Prepare, analyze, and negotiate cost and pricing proposals, including profitability evaluations and risk assessments.
• Enforce and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor and support junior contract professionals.
• Facilitate contract closeout processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and prompt resolution of any outstanding issues.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in contract administration supporting federal, state, and/or local government contracts is essential.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a federal government prime contractor in professional services.
• Familiarity with GSA Multiple Award Schedules, U.S. EPA, and/or DoD contracting is advantageous.
• Proven expertise in proposal pricing, contract negotiation, and problem-solving is required.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe is necessary.
• A solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and various contract types, including CPFF, T&M, and FFP, is vital.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP is a plus.
