Senior Contract Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned contracts and deliver contracting solutions that align with departmental and business objectives.

• Manage the complete contract lifecycle, from receipt of solicitations through to formation, administration, and closure.

• Collaborate with leadership to formulate business and contracting strategies.

• Evaluate contractual and compliance risks while devising mitigation strategies.

• Assist in the development of proposals and competitive deal tactics.

• Create negotiation strategies and mentor team members during negotiations with DoD clients, higher-tier contractors, and various agencies.

• Lead or assist in negotiations that involve intricate terms, scope, and risk factors.

• Educate internal stakeholders about contract requirements, rights, obligations, and risk considerations.

• Work in conjunction with Legal Counsel and cross-functional teams.

• Enhance efficiency and the quality of execution through lean methodologies, digital tools, and thorough contracting processes.

• Offer prompt contracting guidance to both internal and external clients.

• Travel as necessary based on program and client requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in government, commercial, or international contract creation and execution.

• Strong knowledge of commercial terms and conditions as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), including FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15.

• Expertise in the DoD FAR Supplement (DFARS).

• Experience managing various contract types, including complex development projects.

• Familiarity with Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursement contract frameworks.

• Excellent independent judgment coupled with risk-based decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to secure authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, unless already classified as a U.S. Person.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
