Senior Content Strategist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and communicate a well-defined strategic perspective for content that aligns with brand identity, business objectives, and user requirements.

• Oversee content strategy deliverables from the initial discovery phase through to execution and optimization across client partnerships.

• Evaluate performance metrics and user interactions to derive insights that inform content choices and enhance optimization.

• Conduct analyses of the industry and competitive landscape to pinpoint content deficiencies and strategic opportunities.

• Execute content audits and gap analyses in relation to business goals.

• Develop and maintain content inventories to facilitate site migration planning, information architecture design, and content governance.

• Collaborate with SEO experts to incorporate search optimization best practices into content strategies.

• Work alongside the Practice Lead to elevate the content strategy discipline, enhance service offerings, tools, and team development.

• Partner with strategists, UX designers, developers, and project managers to design and implement content strategies.

• Manage ongoing retainer programs and new consulting initiatives utilizing a platform-agnostic approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in content strategy, preferably within an agency or consulting setting.

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in content management systems, keyword research tools, and foundational SEO principles.

• Willingness and capability to integrate AI-driven methodologies into the content strategy process.

• Exceptional storytelling abilities and skills in content presentation.

• Capacity to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace tools, and analytics platforms.

• Experience with Agile methodology is an advantage.
