Senior Content Rigger – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Rig and skin intricate character, vehicle, weapon, and prop assets.

• Develop tools to assist the animation team and enhance the animation pipeline.

• Enhance runtime quality of hair, dynamics, and physics on skinned assets using in-game tools.

• Supervise external rigging developers while providing constructive feedback and documentation.

• Collaborate with production on timelines and manage feedback to uphold a high-quality standard.

• Design and refine pipelines and workflows.

• Create tools and processes that streamline content authoring with a focus on user experience, quality, and efficiency.

• Establish, research, debug, and optimize dynamics and in-game physics.

• Provide support for cloth and hair simulation in Maya or the game engine.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or Certificate in Computer Science, Graphic Art, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in the gaming industry.

• More than 5 years of experience in console game development.

• Proficient in developing pipelines and workflows.

• Strong knowledge of Maya.

• Familiarity with at least one major commercial game engine, such as Unreal or Unity.

• Experience collaborating with external developers.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, agile team.

• Experience in computer programming/scripting, such as C++, Python, or PyQt (bonus).

• Background in working on first-person shooters (bonus).

• Experience shipping a highly competitive multiplayer game (bonus).

• Must have existing work authorization in Canada.
